Signed, dated and titled on plate lower margin. The titles are written in Italian and in French and read "Veduta della Piazza di Monte-cavallo / Vue de la Place de Monte-cavallo" Reference to the editor and publisher below reads "In Roma presso Giac. Antonelli alle Convertitte No. 179.B. e, in Piaz. Sciarra No. 233 / A Rome chez. Jaq. Antonelli alle Convertitte No. 179.B. e a la Place Sciarra No. 233". On the back of the print there is a stamp corresponding to the lower left corner of the recto that reads "Oxford bookshop" in a circle around the image of a bull. Pietro Ruga (c.1772 - 1850) was an Italian engraver, printmaker, architectural draftsman and cartographer active in the first quarter of the 19th century. Measurements: 17 1/4 x 21 1/2 inches Condition: Good condition. Paper is still quite white. Some stains and foxing in margins, small tears and creases on borders.
